Enjoying the Weather

We tried and tried to get both of the girls to pose for a picture with Mommy, but Vaishali wouldn't have it. So here it is, Anjali and Me enjoying the grass in our back yard, Yes, that's right we have grass in our back yard this year, and that makes Mommy happy!
My lovies love to swing.
Looking up at the clouds with Mommy.
Okay, let me explain. I know you see the dryer sheet that appears to be stuck to Vaishali's butt. Well, I did that on purpose. The mosquitoes are really bad here, and they just love to bite my adorable squishy babies. We've tried having our yard sprayed for them, and lighting those stinking torches all over the yard, and still the mosquitoes are bad. So, when I heard that carrying a dryer sheet in your pocket would keep them away I thought I would give it a try. The girls didn't have any pockets so that is why you see the dryer sheet sticking out. I think it does work as I had killed two on myself that day, and when we brought the dryer sheets out I didn't have anymore bite me. I think I'd rather use dryer sheets then spraying them down with bug repellent, and it smells better too.

Thanks to tropical storm Lee, we have had some really cool weather here in Georgia. For a week we didn't even make it into the 80's which I have to say has been great. What do you do with such great weather? Why, stay outside of course, and we have been doing a lot of that. I love this picture of the girls in the sand box. Poor Vaishali has to put up with Sissy throwing sand nearly the entire time she's in the sand box. I like to play in the sand with them, but lately I've had to stay outside the sand box to avoid the sand in my hair and eyes.
Vaishali keeping a close eye on sissy. Thinking she may have to dodge the sand being thrown at here any minute. The cooler weather means we get to take the girls on longer walks in their cars these days, and that makes Vaishali happy, although, lately she would rather push the car around herself.

Home School Storage

On our last trip to NC, I went to Ikea with my Mom to get this Trofast shelf with bins. It's perfect to organize some of the things (learning toys) I use with the girls. The only problem with it at this age is they like to pull out the bins, and since Momma doesn't like the entire floor covered in toys, I had to move it to a place that is a little more out of their reach. But, I do love it, and I'm sure we'll have to eventually add to it.

MMO Orientation & Minnie Mouse Dresses

We took these pictures of the girls in their Minnie Mouse dresses after there MMO orientation and it seems the only ones of Anjali was of her laying down chewing on her blankey. They were pooped, but thoroughly enjoyed it.

Fall Decorating

Ahh fall, my most favorite season of the year. I think I say that at the beginning of every season, but really fall IS my favorite. Every chance I get to clean a room I add a little touch of fall to it. To motivate myself I will not allow myself to do any decorating in a room until I have first cleaned that room. I usually like to do a spring cleaning type thing to my house this time of year, but that isn't happening this year! I do however, need to seriously declutter. Oh how I wish there was time for that. It almost sounds like I like to clean, lol.
I just found this little guy at Michael's. Isn't he cute? He has a little battery operated tealight candle in his head to make him glow. I don't like scary things for Halloween/Fall decorating, but I think he's kind of cute.

Growing Up

I'm so proud of Jacob, he is adjusting well to home school this year after a tough start. With brother in NC and going to High School there this year, it was a little hard for him getting use to the idea. He has started helping Nesh with yard work, something brother use to do. Fortunately, for now he's happy to do it! Less than two years ago he was the baby in the house for 10 years, and now he's the oldest one in the house. Crazy how that has made him grow up a little bit, but a good thing all at the same time.

Tot Trays

The girls started MMO this week for two days a week.  I try to plan learning activities for them on days they don't go to MMO. One thing that I'm liking and seems to hold their attention is tot trays. Here they're working on color sorting, and pouring (fine motor) skills. I love these pictures where it looks like they're deep in thought.

A Sweet Moment with Bubby

This past weekend we went to NC to have Jacob's 12th birthday gathering there with our family. We were all happy to see Bubby, but the girls were super excited. This is a picture of Bubby, still sleeping, and as soon as she woke up and seen him, she jumped up on the bed with him! The girl's threw a terrible fit when we dropped him off at his dad's before we left to come back home. We miss you already Bubby!!!

Happy Birthday Jacob!

Happy Birthday to my baby. My baby who is 12 years old! I can't believe how fast you're growing up. Just one year left until you hit those evil, I mean lovely, teenage years. Just kidding, you know Momma loves you! I think we had an awesome little birthday get together with family in North Carolina this year. Jacob even commented that it was the best birthday ever!
