A lovely at home day..

Today I got to stay home the entire day. Oh how that makes me happy! We have had snow off and on all weekend which makes for some cozy days at home. I finished crocheting 2 dishcloths because I like to crochet or craft when it snows. The boys hung out with the neighbors boys, Daddy went to Lowes for a bit and a lot of play time with the girls. They painted, we had a tea party, and played a few games. I made a big turkey dinner and chocolate chip cookies for dinner. It has been a fun weekend at home.

Relaxing

We've been busy all day. It's snowing now and that makes me feel like its time to slow down for a bit. At least until time to make dinner anyway. Probably can't tell in the pic but its snowing pretty heavy. Me and Christian are watching Little House on the Prairie by the fire while I crochet a dish cloth.

My Lovies

My lovies are growing up too fast. They sat near me this morning wearing the hats they found, and started to play their games they got for Christmas. They do so well playing them on their own. I watched them and thought of how big they're getting, sigh. We're getting snow in the evening so I guess we need to take some time to play outside in the freezing cold today in case we can't tomorrow. Only 25 more days til daylight savings time begins. Yippee! And Valentines Day tomorrow. Dinesh said I blew his flower budget when I found this table I HAD to have, heehee. I just love it:-)

Saturday Happenings

Our plan for the day was just to hang blinds, a few curtain rods and curtains, pictures, and a shelf. I'm very happy to say that ALL the above was accomplished, thanks to Dinesh! We went with a dark wood color for our blinds this time and I love them.
The girls had their first build-and-grow Lowes clinic today. They, with much help from Daddy built a Wheel of Love. I remember when the boys attended these clinics. One of the neighbors visited us today along with their homeschooled daughter. And then later in the evening we went over to visit another neighbor, John and Mary. They were so friendly and welcoming. John and Mary took us out and showed us all of their farm and their animals. I think we counted 27 in all! The girls really enjoyed it and were tired at the end of the visit. Ahh a great day in the country.

My Sweet Babies

Last night I had the WORST migraine I've ever had. My sweet Anjali seen me laying in bed and realized something was wrong with me. She very quietly crawled up into my bed and ask "what's wrong momma" and I told her my head was hurting. Then she laid down beside me and rubbed my head saying " I wuv you mommy" and gave me the sweetest kiss on my forehead.
A few minutes later Vaishali come in, climbed up onto the bed and kissed me and said she loved me too. ;) Awe my goodness aren't they just precious?
This is a picture of them playing in the snow yesterday. We took a long cold walk to our mailbox, nearly a mile, and then played in the snow. They were pretending to ski with sticks they found on the ground. I don't even know how they know what skiing is, but I had to beg them to come inside because I was freezing!

Today

Yes, that was the only blogpost title I could come up with. 😝The girls are finger painting, I'm making lunch and doing a little decorating, Jacob's getting started on school work, and Christian refuses to roll out if bed until lunch is ready! Oh teenagers (sigh). Daddy of course is at work. Jacob actually let me take a picture of him believe it or not. I thought only girls were so self conscious.

Brr!

It's freezing cold and suppose to snow all weekend! So glad Puxatawney Phil didn't see his shadow!!! I do love the snow but since we moved into this home all I wanna do is stay outside and enjoy sunshine. Maybe it's all of these boxes of stuff I have left to put away is what's making me want to spend my days outside?!
