Arya...

Arya was born Friday December 19th at 3:52 pm weighing 8 pounds 2 ounces.  She's perfect & oh so sweet. 

Chubby Chipmunk Cheeks

Today we had another ultrasound & Arya is measuring 2 weeks ahead in her size!  She was tasting her hand & making a cute face which the ultrasound tech was able to get pics of.  So cute.  Look at those chubby cheeks.

We've spent a lot of time around the house the past few weeks trying to recover from respiratory infections before the baby comes.  We finally went out for a while the day after thanksgiving & hung out at the mall for a few hours.  The girls did pics with santa, the JOY pics,  looked at the festival of trees,  & played at the bouncy place.  Now we're back to a weekend at home.  Finally,  tomorrow they'll get back to their routine & back to school. 

Thanksgiving Eve

We got a good bit of snow today!  Yay, we love snow!  The girls played out with Daddy for a bit.  They built a snowman,  went sledding,  & through snowballs.  I baked desserts & breakfast muffins for tomorrow. Now the girls are playing with their frozen castle on the train table we made into a winter wonderland. 

Sick Day

All of us have been sick this past week.  We're trying hard to get better,  however the girls are getting a little bored of being at home.  Luckily,  the weather was really nice today at a warm 70 degrees!  After lunch we played outside for a while soaking up as much vitamin D as possible.  Once they were finished with that we came inside to make snowman crafts.  We're expecting 3-6 inches of snow on Wednesday.  I'm hoping everyone is feeling better so we can play outside in the snow for sometime :-)

Frozen play kind of day. ...

First Snow Day of the Season

We got our first dusting of snow already! It started snowing in the afternoon yesterday & snowed through early evening.  The girls & I were so excited.  After school today most of it had melted,  but they went out and threw snowballs for a bit anyway.  They were so funny last night singing & dancing.  Anjali kept saying "snow is my most favorite thing ever" & then Vaishali would say "me too" and they would dance around the family room while watching the snow come down.

My Lovies Turn 5!

Happy Birthday to the sweetest little lovies ever!  My girls turned 5 today.  I can't believe it has gone by so fast. We celebrated yesterday since they had the day off from school.  Vaishali woke up a little before 8 & come into our room to tell us it was their bday lol & then I had to wake up Anjali. We went downstairs & had cake for breakfast,  got dressed up in their new Anna dresses,  opened presents, & then went outside to ride their new dune racer. After playing with their toys for a couple hours, we went to golden corral for lunch & then chuck-e-cheese to play.  It was a full day of bday fun.  Today they went back to school & brought cupcakes to share with their friends at school.  Vaishali is excited to be 5 & Anjali wishes she could stay 4. :-) I love these girls so much! 

Happy Halloween!

Vaishali said it was the best Halloween ever!  We started off the day wearing orange accessories,  orange eyeshadow & nail polish, & orange socks for orange day at school.  After school we rested and watched cartoons until time to get dressed up for trick-or-treat at the mall.  Both of the girls chose to be Elsa from the Frozen movie.  After trick-or-treat we went to IHOP for pumpkin face pancakes & then home to eat a tiny bit of candy.  It was a good day indeed.

A September Weekend

It turned out to be a beautiful weekend with fall like weather here in North Maryland.  Saturday morning the girls had their Home Depot clinic with Daddy & they made a cute Wizard of Oz bird house.  For lunch we ate at our favorite Indian restaurant,  then picked up Gulab Jammun ( Indian desert ) at the Indian grocery store.   Today was spent mostly outside playing while daddy finished the shade top over the sandbox he made,  cleaning off & decorating the front porch for fall. We spent the afternoon at a local farm apple picking,  visiting the farm animals & playing at their park.  Now I'm enjoying the fall like breeze blowing through house since it's cool enough to leave the windows open.
